Tenders are invited for Life Skills Trainer - Baalback, Tyr and Beirut. Deadline: Monday, 17. Nov 2025 Nusaned is a humanitarian, community-based and volunteer organisation. Our actions are informed by a survivor-centred approach which means that the needs and wishes of survivors guide our response, that survivors are treated with dignity and respect, and the rights of survivors to privacy and support are prioritized Summary Terms of Reference Soft Skills Training Empowerment through Communication, Marketing & Employability Empowering Crisis-Affected Women through Economic and Livelihood Support 1. Background This soft skills training is part of a larger project by Nusaned and UN Women to support women affected by the crisis in Lebanon. It complements hands-on training in Mouneh, Eco Nawling, weaving, and Painting by helping participants build the personal and professional skills they need to succeed. The training covers key topics like communication, marketing, using social media, writing a CV, setting up an email, and building confidence all aimed at improving their chances of finding work or starting their own business. Target groups: Women and girls participating in the Mouneh, Eco Nawl, and Painting components across Baalbek, South Lebanon (Tyr), and Mount Lebanon. 2. Objectives The Soft Skills Training aims to: Provide each participant group (approx. 10-15 women per activity) with 15 hours of structured soft skills development. Enhance participants self-confidence, communication abilities, and digital literacy. Equip women with fundamental knowledge of business, branding, and customer relations to complement their vocational skills. 3. Key Challenges and Considerations Participants come from diverse backgrounds with different levels of experience and access to technology: Some women may be familiar with social media and digital tools, while others may have limited or no experience using phones, email, or the internet. Many participants may not have access to smartphones, laptops, or Wi-Fi at home. Some may have low literacy or educational levels, which can affect how they understand certain topics. These challenges will be addressed by employing inclusive, hands-on teaching methods and creative ideation activities suitable for all experience levels. 4. Methodology The soft skills training will be delivered to participants enrolled in three main vocational components of the project: Training Groups: Painting (16 women in Beirut-Mount Lebanon), Mouneh (15 women in each of Baalbek and Tyr, total 30), and Eco Nawl (10 women in each of three locations: Beirut, South, and Baalbek, total 30). Training Schedule: 15 hours of training, delivered over 3 interactive sessions lasting approximately 4-5 hours each. The training will follow a participatory and inclusive approach, using simplified language, visual tools, and practical exercises to accommodate women with low literacy levels or limited digital experience. Content will be tailored to the vocational context of each group and designed to be accessible to women of all ages and backgrounds, including those with no access to technology or formal education. 5. Delivery Approach: Communication & Confidence Building covering verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, public speaking, and self-esteem; Digital & Job Readiness including CV writing, email setup, and an introduction to basic digital tools for work (e.g., WhatsApp, Zoom); Social media & Marketing focusing on using platforms like Instagram and Facebook to promote handmade products, take quality photos, write captions, and connect with buyers; Basic Business & Financial Skills introducing customer service, product pricing, budgeting, and profit calculation; Work Ethics & Life Skills including teamwork, time management, problem-solving, and handling feedback. 6. Required Expertise Trainers and supervisors must demonstrate the following qualifications: Dora Highway, Dora Trade Center Building, 4th Floor (above Silver Arrow & Powertech), Beirut, Lebanon +961 76 72 72 73 | Reg. #587/2020 | nusaned.org Bachelors degree in Education, Social Sciences, Social work, Advertising and Marketing, Business, Human Resources, or a related field. Strong skills in leading interactive sessions using simple language and real-life examples. Knowledge of key soft skills topics such as communication, CV writing, email use, marketing, social media, and self-confidence. Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written); English is an advantage. Willing to follow Nusaneds safeguarding and protection policies to ensure a safe learning environment for all participants. 7. Work Plan and Timeline Eco Nawl: 30 women (10 per area) Mouneh: 30 women (15 per area) Painting: 16 women (1 group) Locations: Beirut, BML, South, Baalbek Delivery: In-person, interactive, adapted to low literacy and limited tech access Trainer tasks: Prepare 3-day curriculum, Deliver sessions, track attendance. 8.
