Construction Work – Omega Quay Wall Europahaven. Port Of Rotterdam Authority Intends To Contract A Party For The Realization And Partial Design Of A Deep-Sea Quay Wall And Three Berths, Suitable For Future Container Ships, To Replace The Current Quay Of The Delta Terminal In The Europahaven, Maasvlakte 1 Rotterdam. The Scope Of The Contract To Be Tendered Consists Of Research And Design Work And The Realization Of Approximately 1,455 Meters Of Quay Wall (Phase 1) With A Retaining Height Of Approximately 30 Meters. The Work Mainly Consists Of Design Work, Preparation For Construction, Piling And Anchoring A Combination Wall, Installing A Crane Track, A Concrete Deck Apron, Port Furniture And Other Facilities. In Addition, Dredging And Excavation Work Is Taking Place And An Area On The West Side Is Being Filled In. In Addition To The Agreement For The Construction Of This Quay Wall, Por Intends To Conclude A Framework Agreement With The Party That Realizes This Quay Wall. Under This Framework Agreement, Projects Can Be Requested With The Aim Of Redeveloping The Maritime Infrastructure On The Delta Peninsula To Ensure That It Meets The Functional Requirements Of Modern Container Shipping. These Optional Projects Include The Subsequent Phase 2A: The Design And Realization Of Quay Wall And Berth 4 (Length Approximately 600 Meters) And Phase 2B: The Design And Realization Of Quay Wall And Berth 5 (Length Approximately 550 Meters).
