Tenders are invited for Training on Resource Development and Fundraising Strategy Type of Study 1 Training Type of Study 2 Freelance consultant or organization (both national and/or international based and/or have related experiences in Cambodia) HFH Country and Location Habitat Cambodia Phnom Penh Head Office Assignment duration One month Scope of assessment: The selected consultant will be responsible for the following: Design a comprehensive training manual and presentation tailored to Habitat for Humanity Cambodias operational context. This includes developing relevant materials, tools, and methodologies that address institutional, corporate, and individual donor engagement strategies. Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions grounded in adult learning principles and participatory approaches. The sessions should incorporate practical exercises, group work, real-life case studies, and simulations focused on proposal development and strategic fundraising. Provide targeted guidance and technical support on developing compelling concept note, expression of interest and proposals for institutional donors (e.g., KOICA, EU, GAC, FCDO, DFAT, USAID), as well as strategies for engaging corporate donors and high-net-worth individuals The consultant is expected to apply a participatory, practical, and context-sensitive approach to ensure effective learning, engagement, and relevance to Habitat for Humanity Cambodias operational environment. The methodology should include, but is not limited to, the following elements: Needs-Based Design: Begin with a brief consultation with HFHICs Resource Development Team to understand current capacity, challenges, and expectations related to fundraising and proposal development. Adult Learning Principles: Use interactive and experiential learning techniques such as group discussions, role plays, real-life case studies, and hands-on exercises to ensure relevance and retention. Contextual Relevance: Tailor training content to reflect the Cambodian context and HFHICs strategic priorities, with examples and exercises drawn from actual donor calls and fundraising scenarios. Modular Training Delivery: Structure the sessions into clear modules (e.g., donor landscape overview, proposal writing essentials, fundraising strategy development, donor engagement techniques) to allow progressive learning. Real-World Application: Incorporate exercises that simulate proposal development for donors such as KOICA, EU, GAC, FCDO, DFAT, USAID, as well as strategies for engaging corporate donors and high-net-worth individuals. Feedback and Reflection: Include opportunities for participants to reflect on learning, ask questions, and receive feedback throughout the sessions. Step-by-step guidance on proposal development, including donor-specific requirements and evaluation criteria.
