Tenders are invited for Finance and Compliance Consultant. Closing Date: 31 Oct 2025 Type: Consultancy H2H stands for humanitarian to humanitarian. The concept refers to humanitarian organisations who provide technical services and resources to other humanitarian actors rather than directly to crisis-affected populations. The range of specialized services that H2H actors provide is broad, encompassing data, information and analysis; community engagement and accountability; security, logistics and programme support as well as quality and professionalisation. The H2H Network brings together high-quality, independent humanitarian service providers who bring cross-cutting technical expertise in service of the broader humanitarian community. Services and resources produced by H2H organizations are free and accessible to all humanitarian actors, thus serving as common goods for the aid sector. The network emerged following the World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) in 2016 and is now a growing network of over 60 member organisations. The H2H Network is hosted by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in Geneva, Switzerland, through which these services are being procured Background and objective of the consultancy Due to current funding challenges, the H2H team has had to reduce its staffing capacity, including the Finance and Compliance Officer position. At the same time, H2H has received additional funding from FCDO to launch a minimum of two new activations, while also finalising two of the largest activations ever undertaken by the network. To address this increased workload, H2H is seeking short-term support (approximately 12 days per week) over the next quarter. Scope of work [ET1] The consultant will be responsible for the following: Managing the backlog and upcoming due diligence requests, in collaboration with the Head of Finance and Operations. Reviewing financial reports submitted by members for the Myanmar and DRC activations, using the H2H checklist and in line with administrative guidelines. Support the finance and grant side of upcoming activations, as well as with the grant management tasks in Dynamics and other administrative matters associated to these activations. Deliverables [ET2] The Consultant will submit the following deliverables: Due diligence assessment (DDA) reports, covering the backlog and new requests (approximately 5 new and 2 renewals). Reviewed and approved financial reports for the Myanmar and DRC activations. Administrative and financial support for the launch and management of upcoming fund activations. Duration and timeline Contract duration: until 29 February 2026, covering approximately 25 to 30 working days. Starting mid October. Experience and qualifications Essential qualifications Demonstrated experience in finance, grants, and compliance within DRC environement. Prior experience working with H2H and familiarity with its compliance environment. Technical expertise Strong knowledge of donor compliance requirements, in particular FCDO. Experience reviewing financial reports and conducting due diligence assessments. Proficiency with financial management systems, preferably Dynamics 365. Ability to provide accurate, timely support with attention to detail. Other skills and competencies Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload. Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with a small team and external stakeholders. Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and maintain confidentiality. Technical supervision The selected consultant will work under the supervision of the H2H Head of Finance and operations. Location and support The consultant will be based remotely and use their own IT equipment and computer. Travel One trip to Geneva is possible, with all associated costs covered by H2H.
