Across regions, from the local to the global, we work with people to bring change that lasts. Click Here to view the post overview 1. BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT Oxfam has been in Jordan since the 1990s. We work with local partners in Jordan for a future where everyone can reach their full potential, especially women and young people. We provide essential humanitarian assistance to Syrian refugees as well as vulnerable Jordanians, while promoting longer term sustainable solutions to challenges facing Jordan, with a focus on Climate Justice, Economic Justice and Gender Justice. This project aims to empower vulnerable Syrian women in Al-Mafraq through a 30-day vocational training program. The activity specifically targets vulnerable women in the host community, equipping them with practical, basic sewing skills. This initiative promotes womens empowerment and self-reliance through the productive of textile. SPECIFICATION OF GOODS OR SERVICES OR WORK REQUIRED 1. Development of Training Materials and Work Plan Prepare and submit a detailed outline of the vocational training curriculum on basic sewing skills. The curriculum should enable participants to generate income through the production and sale of textile products (e.g., clothing, puppets, and stuffed toys). Both the training materials and the work plan are subject to Oxfams review and approval before the training begins. Note: Oxfam will provide the list of selected women participants. 2. Delivery of Vocational Training Train 20 selected women in basic sewing skills over a minimum of 150 hours. Training must be practical, hands-on, and income-oriented (focused on the creation of textile products such as clothing, puppets, and stuffed toys). 3. Provision of Training Materials Supply all necessary training tools and raw materials required for the duration of the course. 4. Venue Rental and Logistics Rent a suitable training venue with the capacity to comfortably accommodate 20 women and their training tools. Provide daily refreshments. Allocate and distribute transportation allowances of 5 JOD per participant per day. The selected venue and daily refreshment to be confirmed and validated by Oxfam. 5. Soft Skills Training Deliver a two-day training (12 hours) on soft skills, including Marketing and Basic financial literacy. 6. Organizing a Closing Event Plan and conduct a closing event to: Distribute sewing toolkits and participation certificates(all sewing toolkits will be provided by Oxfam) Celebrate participant achievements Promote project visibility The event should accommodate 4050 attendees in addition to the 20 women participants with provide refreshments for all attendees, The selected venue and refreshment to be confirmed and validated by Oxfam. If the supplier wishes to propose modifications to the specification (which may provide a better way to achieve Oxfam ´s objectives) these must be considered as an alternative offer. The Supplier must make alternative offers in a separate letter to accompany the offer. OXFAM is under no obligation to accept alternative offers. 2.
