Quotation are invited for Trainer English Literacy. Submissions must be received no later than November 4, 2025 - 12:00 pm Beirut local time. 1. Background Michel Daher Social Foundation (MDSF) is implementing an Adolescent and Youth Development Program (My skills, My future.) to deliver vocational Competency-Based Training (CBT) to marginalized youth. This initiative directly targets 160 highly vulnerable youth aged 1824, both Lebanese and non-Lebanese, with a specific focus on those who are out of school and unable to return to formal education. The project utilizes a structured pathway of engagement, training, and employment transition aimed at facilitating long-term economic inclusion. 2. Objective Design and deliver a 30-hour English language training program for each group (4 groups total), with 3-hour sessions over 10 days. The goal is to strengthen participants foundational English language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, enabling them to communicate effectively in daily life, access vocational training, and engage with the labor market. 3. Scope of Work The selected trainer/service provider will: The Service provider might be requested to attend a TOT session delivered by the project partners along with the project team members to align the curriculum with Unicef guidelines. Curriculum Development Develop a detailed training plan and session outlines for 30 hours per group, divided into 10 sessions of 3 hours each.(based on Youth Functional Skills, YFS) Ensure curriculum tailored to youth with limited literacy levels. Prepare lesson plans, exercises, and learning materials covering basic reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Include cross-cutting topics such as gender sensitivity, digital literacy in English, and professional communication skills. Training Delivery Deliver training to 4 groups of youth, each receiving 30 instructional hours (3 hours/day). Use interactive and participatory methods (role play, dialogues, group work, etc.) to engage learners. Adapt teaching methods to the varying literacy levels of participants. Assessment & Certification Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure language proficiency improvement. Evaluate participants through exercises, quizzes, and attendance. Reporting & Coordination Prepare weekly progress reports on training activities. Document challenges, success stories, and lessons learned. Coordinate closely with the project team and other trainers to align with overall program goals. 4. Deliverables The trainer/service provider is expected to deliver the following: Training curriculum and session plan for 4 groups. Teaching materials (PowerPoints, handouts, reading materials, exercises). Attendance sheets and training records. Pre- and post-test results. Final training report with recommendations. 5. Duration of Assignment Total Duration: Fourty (40) sessions (3h each) - 10 sessions per group (1 day each) for 4 different groups Implementation Period: 40 separate days during December 2025 and January 2026 (Exact dates to be planned on a later stage) 6. Qualifications The selected trainer or training organization must meet the following qualifications: Degree or professional certification in English, Linguistics, TESOL, or related field. At least 35 years of experience in teaching English as a second language. Strong practical expertise in speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills for youth. Prior experience working with youth and vulnerable groups is an asset. Excellent communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills. 7. Location Ferzol, Zahle, Bekaa (Michel Daher Social Foundation building). 8. Reporting and supervision The trainer/service provider will report and keep close coordination with the Project Manager at MDSF. Coordination and scheduling support will be provided by MDSF staff 9. Payment Terms Payment will be made via bank transfer or Telegraphic Transfer (TT): 50% upon completion of the 20 training sessions and the remaining 50% upon completion of the remaining 20 sessions and submission of the final report Note: Without a valid MOF certificate, a 3.4% tax on goods and 8.5% on services will apply. MDSF reserves the right to withhold final payment if deliverables are incomplete or not in line with agreed quality standards 10. Evaluation of Proposals Proposals will be evaluated based on: 1. Technical proposal (30%) 2. Financial proposal (35%) 3. Experience in English literacy training (25%) 4. Availability and alignment with proposed schedule (10%) 15. Penalties for Delay A penalty of 1% of the total contract value per day of delay shall apply for late delivery or failure to perform within the agreed schedule, up to a maximum of 10% of the total contract value.
