Tenders are invited for Mobile Journalism Trainer Scope of Work and Key Tasks The trainer will be responsible for: Training Design and Preparation o Develop a tailored training agenda and materials in coordination with PWWSD. o Prepare training tools, presentations, and practical exercises adapted to the needs of CSOs and CBOs. o Integrate a gender-sensitive and rights-based approach into the methodology. Training Delivery (2 Days Ramallah, Palestine) o Facilitate interactive sessions on the following topics: § Fundamentals of mobile journalism: storytelling, framing, and ethics. § Tools and apps for capturing, editing, and publishing content. § Practical skills: video shooting, photography, sound recording, and live reporting. § Using mobile journalism as a tool for advocacy and womens rights campaigns. o Guide participants through hands-on practice sessions to produce short multimedia stories. o Provide mentorship and feedback to participants during group work and exercises. Post-Training Responsibilities o Submit a Professional report summarizing the training process, key discussions, challenges, and recommendations. o Provide samples of participants outputs and evaluation results. Expected Deliverables · Training agenda and detailed methodology (to be approved by PWWSD before the training). · Delivery of a two-day interactive training on Mobile Journalism. · Practical outputs developed by participants (short videos, reports, or advocacy stories). · Final training report including lessons learned and recommendations. Duration and Location · Duration: 2 days of training delivery · Location: Ramallah, Palestine. Required Qualifications · Proven expertise and practical experience in mobile journalism, digital storytelling, or multimedia reporting. · Demonstrated experience in training delivery, particularly with NGOs, CSOs, or CBOs. · Strong knowledge of gender-sensitive communication and human rightsbased approaches. · Excellent facilitation, communication, and mentoring skills. · Proficiency in Arabic (preferred) and English. Reporting and Coordination The trainer will work under the supervision of the PWWSD Project Coordinator and in close coordination with the projects capacity-building team. Any practices that fall under this category by employees, volunteers, or contractors working with the organization are strictly prohibited. In this context, PWWSD adopts the United Nations definitions of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) as outlined in document [ST/SGB/2003/13], which state that: · Sexual Exploitation: means any actual or attempted abuse of a position of vulnerability, differential power, or trust, for sexual purposes, including, but not limited to, profiting monetarily, socially, or politically from the sexual exploitation of another. · Sexual Abuse: means the actual or threatened physical intrusion of a sexual nature, whether by force or under unequal or coercive conditions. All PWWSD employees, volunteers, partners, and contractors have an obligation to immediately report any suspicions, allegations, or confirmed incidents of sexual exploitation or abuse through the organizations designated and secure reporting mechanisms, without delay. Submission Details Interested applicants shall submit the following: Technical Offer · CV and profile highlighting relevant experience in mobile journalism, training, and its application in advocacy or civil society work. · Draft work plan and proposed training agenda. Financial Offer · A separate financial proposal with a breakdown of consultancy fees. · Price offer including VAT and a valid source of deduction certificate (if unavailable, 10% will be deducted from the total contract). · Budget in EURO, inclusive of all costs (accommodation, travel, materials, etc.).
