Titeldam Urvatnet . Descriptionhadsel Municipality Will Demolish The Existing Dam In Urvatnet And Establish A New Gravity Dam With Associated Measures. The Dam Is Placed In Impact Class 2. The Existing Dam Is A Brick Dam Recast From Concrete, Founded On Rock, And Does Not Meet The Requirements Of The Dam Safety Regulations. Urvatnet Is The Main Reservoir For Melbu Waterworks And Supplies The Whole Of Melbu And Parts Of Stokmarknes. The Works Mainly Include The Establishment Of A Catch Dam, Demolition Of The Existing Dam, Construction Of A New Gravity Dam, As Well As Raising, Extending And Erosion Protection Of The Secondary Dam.
