Tenders are invited for Commercial off-the-Shelf (Cots) Digital to Analog Converter Pre-Evaluation - Expro plus There is a limited availability of qualified/radiation hardened DAC with high resolution. Currently,with just one 16-bit high speed and one high precision low speed qualified DAC available from twodifferent manufacturers. At the moment, state of the art DAC have 16 or higher bits, low powerconsumption and good linearity at medium speed. Such DAC have high demand, therefore oftencommercialdevices are proposed without any knowledge on radiation robustness in heavy ions fordestructive event (SEL: Single Event Latch-up)and functional interrupt (SEFI: Single EventFunctional Interrupt).As the organization of the test campaign is often lengthy and the realization of test set up requireslarge effort and specific skills, the benefit of this activity would be to offer a set of relevant radiationdata on state of art DAC to designers in an early stage of the design of an instrument.This activity encompasses thefollowing tasks:- Perform a market survey and select 4 best candidates (selected based on precision, knowledge of the technology, power consumption, speed and input/channel configuration, linearity). The reference performance will be therefore the following: <1Wpower dissipation with few tens of mW in power down mode, precision higher or equal 16bits, INL (integral nonlinearity) and DNL (differential non linearity) lower or equal to 1LSB (least significant bit),speed higher than 125Msps (Mega samples per seconds).- Preparation of test set up for both SEL and SEFI test campaign- Performance of the heavy ions test and analysis of test results- Analysis of the results to identify which technology can be considered for future Space application.Read more Tender Link : https://esastar-publication-ext.sso.esa.int/ESATenderActions/filter/open
