Background Helen Keller International is implementing a Climate Smart Agriculture and Nutrition initiative in Marara District, Tete Province. The project aims to improve nutrition, agricultural productivity, and community resilience to climate shocks. A key component involves the provision of high-quality, resilient livestock (goats and chickens) to selected beneficiaries. 2. Purpose of the RFP Helen Keller International invites proposals from qualified and authorized agro dealers for the supply and delivery of healthy, vaccinated, and age-appropriate goats and chickens, along with all necessary logistics and support services. 3. Scope of Work The selected Contractor will be responsible for: Supplying 1,000 goats (local dual-purpose breed, 6-12 months old, certified healthy) Supplying 2,500 chickens (point-of-lay pullets, 16-18 weeks old, fully vaccinated) Ensuring proper transportation and humane handling Delivering livestock to designated community collection points Providing veterinary certificates, vaccination records, and delivery documentation Optionally conducting basic animal husbandry training for beneficiaries 4.
