Tenders Are Invited For Communication Strategy For Iraq Center Of Excellence In Renewable/Solar Energy (Ceres)

Expression of Interest are invited for Communication Strategy for Iraq Center of Excellence in Renewable/Solar Energy (CERES) The World Bank (WB) is providing technical assistance (TA) to the Government of Iraq (GOI) to strengthen institutional capacity for green skills development to meet the needs of clean energy transition in Iraq. The TA aligns with Iraqs UN commitment to climate adaptation and its priority to expand renewable energyespecially solarto address electricity shortages. It supports the University of Baghdad in establishing the Center of Excellence in Renewable Energy (CERES). Once operational, CERES will deliver inclusive academic and training programs, conduct applied research, build partnerships, support other institutions, coordinate nationwide solar energy training, and engage communities to advance clean energy and climate change awareness. The WB intends to hire a communication consulting firm to support the development of a communication and engagement strategy for CERES at the University of Baghdad and assist the WB in implementing selected activities during the first six months following the strategys completion. The communication strategy should create awareness and support for the activities implemented under the CERES. This includes drafting, training sessions, consultations and hands-on experience for the assigned team to identify objective, priorities, key messages, identifying external and internal audiences, identifying internal and external communication tools, channels, and activities. Once the communication strategy is developed the consulting firm will support the Bank by providing advice and assistance in developing related communication materials. These materials should help sensitize stakeholders in alignment with the strategy, for a period agreed upon with the Bank.
