Krw 8 Is A Realization Agreement For The Water Framework Directive, With The Aim Of Improving The Ecological Quality Of The River System. Studies Have Shown That The Current River System Of The Meuse With Its Weirs And Fish Ladders Functions Suboptimally For Migratory Fish. With The Realization Of Krw 8, The Ability For Fish To Pass The Weirs In The Meuse Will Be Improved And Fish Migration Will Be Stimulated. The Contractor Must Essentially Carry Out The Following Work: • Construction Of A New Fish Ladder Near The Lith Weir/Lock Complex; • Optimization Of 7 Fish Ladders At The Weirs In The Maas; • Design And Implementation Work To Make The Above Realization Possible. All Work Under The Agreement Must Be Completed By December 2027 And Carried Out On The Basis Of A Project Management System.
