Tenders Are Invited For Report On The Behavior Of Trace Substances During Runoff From Mining Lakes

Type Of Service The Report To Be Commissioned Should Characterize The Behavior Of The Inorganic And Organic Substances From The Rhine (And Therefore Also From The Rur) During The Various Transport Routes And Enable Individual Statements To Be Made About The Sorption And Degradation Behavior And Other Relevant Material Properties Of The Substances Contained In The Rhine/Rur Water. In This Way, The Report Is Intended To Contribute To A Protected Property-Related Assessment Of The Seawater Outflow, Particularly For The Downstream Aquifers With Regard To The Substance Concentrations To Be Expected There. The Knowledge Gained Is Needed For Both The Official And The Political Assessment Process In Order To Be Able To Assess Whether And To What Extent Deviations From The Management Objectives Of The Water Framework Directive Are To Be Expected Or Can Be Minimized As Far As Possible By Taking Countermeasures. The Report Should Also Contain The Basis For Groundwater Monitoring To Be Developed In The Future In The Area Around The Opencast Mining Lakes.
