The Eselriet School Complex Is Located On The Southwestern Edge Of The Settlement Of Effretikon At The Transition To The Landscape With Side Forest Flanks And Agricultural Areas. The Building Ensemble From 1974 Has A Uniform Design Typical Of The Time. Oriented Across The Corner To The South, It Inscribes Itself Into The Natural Context With A Precise Outline. Functionally Differentiated Building Wings Are Grouped Around The Central Break Area To Form An Overall Shape. The Construction Project Aims To Expand The School Complex With A Compact New Building Directly Attached To The Gymnasium. The Existing And New Buildings Are Combined To Form A Coherent System. A Wide And Clear Access Situation Is Created From Sportplatzstrasse. The New Building Combines The Extensive Spatial Program With The Rooms For School Operations, Day Care And Sports Clubs Under One Roof. The Access And Vertical Development System Enables The Individual User Groups To Combine And Operate Independently. Two Building Entrances Open Up The Building And Unbundle The Different Uses. A Main Staircase With A Lift Accesses All Floors And Connects All Areas Of The Building. The Second And Third Floors Have A Uniform Floor Plan. On The Second Floor, The Four Classrooms With Group Rooms In Between Form A Teaching Cluster Around A Central Lounge And Cloakroom Area. Therapy And Speech Therapy As Well As The Support Center Rooms Are Located On The Third Floor. The Multi-Purpose Room Is Located In The Basement With A Direct Connection To The Gym.
