In July 2021, The Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf District Implemented The Office For Citizen Participation (Bfb). The Office For Citizen Participation Coordinates The Implementation Process Of The Guidelines For Citizen Participation In The Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf District. The District Developed Its Own Guidelines In 2022 And Published Them In 2023. As Part Of This, The Funds Made Available By The Senate Department For Urban Development And Housing Were Used To Set Up And Operate The Space For Participation (Previously: Contact Point For Citizen Participation) In 2023, 2024 And 2025. The Room For Participation Consists Of A Team Of Administrative Staff And Employees Of A Provider. Together They Developed The Space For Participation As A District Approach. A Provider Is Being Sought To Continue These Tasks. The Space For Participation In Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Is An Approach That Acts As A Hinge Between Administration, Politics And Civil Society. It Creates Networking Structures In The Neighborhoods And In The District Administration, Thus Enabling Synergies And Effective Resource Management. In This Way, It Enables Greater Transparency Of Administrative Actions And Exchange At Eye Level Between All Target Groups. This Is The Basis For Strong Neighborhoods That Take Responsibility For Their Living Environment And An Administration That Is Oriented Towards The Interests Of Local Residents And Develops Activities, Measures And Projects Together With Them.
