Expression of Interest for Terms of Reference (TOR) for the Designing of Brochures on the UNCRPD for Inclusion of Persons with Disability Overview and Introduction. The BMZ Project entitled; Multisectoral, Disability-inclusive Resilience Building for IDPs, Refugees, Returnees and their Host Communities in Central Equatoria State, South Sudan aims at strengthening the resilience of refugees, IDPs and returnees including persons with disabilities and their host communities in Juba, Lainya, Yei, Morobo and Kajo-Keji Counties in Central Equatoria State. The project is implemented by ACROSS and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through CBM Christoffel-Blindenmission Christian Blind Mission e.V. ACROSS with funding from BMZ through CBM, has planned to hire a consultant to design messages and appropriate wording on the brochures that depict, portray and advocate for the inclusion of persons with disability in South Sudan. The messages should be derived from and based on the ratified United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability. The Republic of South Sudan ratified this particular UN convention in 2023. In compliance with the UN convention, ACROSS BMZ project strives to ensure that the rights of persons with disability are upheld, protected and that they are included in all aspects of live including employment and decision-making processes. 2. Qualifications and experience ACROSS expects the consultant to possess an expertise in area of advocacy and inclusion of persons with disability in the context of South Sudan. The following constitute the required qualifications and experience: Ideally, the consultant should be someone with educational background in law, Psychology, Community Inclusive Development or Sociology. The consultant should be an experienced trainer in the field of OPD advocacy and inclusive development. Should have experience in delivering training on the UNCRPD in South Sudan and beyond. Should preferably be a member of any OPD entity in South Sudan. Must have an experience of designing brochures that are simple to interpret from English into local languages in CES. 3. Scope of Work The Consultant will have to create relevant attractive messages and wording that foster the inclusion of persons with disability in every decision making-processes in South Sudan. After designing the messages and wording, they will be printed on a brochure with SSUPD logo. There will be additional three logos including: ACROSS, BMZ and CBM. The consultant will be guided before signing the contract on the composition of the logos to be printed on the brochures. A total of 900 brochures will be printed. A soft copy of the designed brochure will be disseminated at the NGO forum as part of advocacy on behalf of ACROSS. The rest of printed copies of brochures will be transported to the five OPD offices in Rokon, Lainya, Yei, Morobo and Kajo-keji.
