Expression of Interest for Carbon Markets India (Conduct Diagnostic and Scoping Activities to Map the Voluntary Carbon Market Ecosystem in India) The objective of this assignment is to conduct diagnostic and scoping activities to map the Voluntary Carbon Market ecosystem in India, identify investment opportunities for IFC, via financial institutions or credit funds, in projects with high carbon-generating potential and aligned with IFCs standards. The analysis will inform programmatic support that delivers environmental integrity and socioeconomic benefits. IFC is seeking a consulting firm to conduct the assignment. The key components: 1. Comprehensive VCM Market Diagnostic to provide a holistic assessment of Indias voluntary carbon market, including stakeholder mapping, policy review and market mechanisms (including any case studies). 2. Investment Opportunity Identification to determine which sectors and project types can generate highintegrity carbon credits and identify potential investment and advisory opportunities for IFC.
