Tenders are invited for Production House - Audio Anthology Series October, 2025 India Closing Date: 17 Oct 2025 Type: Consultancy Themes: Gender/Protection and Human Rights Top Line Objectives: Girl Effect India is seeking a well established production house specialising in multi-cast fictional audio content to work in close collaboration with our in-house creative team and agency partners to execute a powerful, emotionally resonant fictional audio anthology series. The series will comprise 5 unique stories with a duration of approximately 20 minutes each. Each story will be told using a careful mix of different characters from the female protagonists life who reclaims her voice, owns her space, and refuses to shrink against Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence[TFGBV]. Each story will be released in up to 5 mini episodes. This series will seamlessly role model behaviours for peers, boys and bystanders, while also presenting girls with narratives that they can see their lives reflected in - but with hope and promise of a better, safer digital world. Through culturally relevant, youth-centric storytelling, this approach aims to build engagement, provide entertainment and program for key messaging under our TFGBV program. Who We Are Girl Effect (GE) is an international non-profit that connects girls to the resources and support they need to overcome barriers, see themselves differently and unleash their full potential. We believe that the most powerful force to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty is GIRLS. When you connect GIRLS to what they need, unleash the limits communities set for them, and change how girls see themselves- they change the world. Thats the Girl Effect. Our approach redefines what girls think they can and should do. We do this by building digital and media technologies that girls want, trust and need. From chatbots and applications to chat shows and TV dramas, our approach uses modern technologies to reach girls where they are today. Our reach is 23 million and counting. We are girl centered. We engage girls through evidence based social and behavior change. We meet girls where they are today, in the spaces, on the platforms and channels they trust and love. We work with governments to transform systems to work for HER. We reach girls across the world, where they are -online and offline, to support them at the critical moments in life when choices around their health, education and economic future need to be made. We use our expertise in behavior change science to motivate and equip girls with information and support to help them see a different future for themselves, act on those choices, and drive greater demand for the opportunities and services available to them. Chhaa Jaa in India, Tujibebe in Tanzania, and Yegna in Ethiopia are some of our youth brands. They exist across multiple channels - digital ( Meta, Google and other SM platforms), TV, radio, print and offline. Where required and relevant, we also use white label brands for specific campaigns. Girl Effect in India In 2019, Girl Effect launched Chhaa Jaa, a digital-first youth programme that helps girls in India build the confidence to make choices and changes in their lives - from accessing information about her body and services around her, to negotiating about education choices or whether to use contraception. Chhaa Jaa was designed keeping in mind adolescent girls between 17-19 years, currently in higher education, and accessible online via mobile, whether girls own or borrow a mobile phone. Over the last four years, we have invested in setting up key online assets and infrastructure that can be leveraged to deliver programmes under a range of thematics for older adolescent girls. We have built a multi-product digital ecosystem of products - across broadcast and interactive features - that are social media-based and available to girls whenever they need it. This includes: Inspiring and enabling social and behavior change content on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube through Chaa Jaa A chatbot on Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp that allows girls to explore taboo topics in a safe 1:1 space and nudges them to connect her with health services called Bol Behen And a website aggregating youth-friendly services and is updated regularly with blog content. A girls-only Facebook group to experience social support and a sense of community, called BAK BAK Gang About The Programme CTRL + SHIFT + RESPECT, Girl Effects programme on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence, is designed to ensure that girls and young women not only exist but thrive in digital spaces. Supported by the Kering Foundation, the programme blends digital engagement with grounded community intervention to spark lasting, gender-transformative change. We work alongside adolescents, parents, community leaders and service providers to challenge the norms, attitudes and systems that enable technologyenabled abuse to persist. At its heart, the programme is driven by a clear goal: to empower girls and young women to learn, lead and thrive in a digital world free from harassment and online abuse. To move towards this vision, we champion digital literacy and awareness of rights so that girls and young women can navigate online spaces with confidence. We spark conversations and action among boys, parents, educators and communities to shift perceptions and actively prevent harm. And we connect those affected by online violence with the support they needlinking them to organisations, government bodies, law enforcement and legal networks already working to protect and uphold their rights. Background In a 2025 survey across 10 major Indian cities, over half the respondents - 51% said that online gender-based violence feels even more serious than physical violence. They said the damage wasnt just digital. It was affecting their mental health, career, and reputation. And it didnt end with the screen. 65% reported anxiety, depression, and fear of even using the internet again. Thats why this conversation matters. Because tech-based violence is real. And its happening now - to someone we know, or maybe even to you. And there is an urgent need to stop it. Because not all violence leaves bruises. Some of it shows up in notifications. Programme Objectives Objective 1 Enable Safe Digital Access for Girls: Equip adolescent girls and young women with digital literacy skills and knowledge of their rights. Objective 2 Increase Awareness of TFGBV: Build awareness and knowledge among girls, boys, parents, educators and community members on TFGBV and ensure their active participation in mitigating risks. Objective 3 Facilitate linkages to support services: Facilitate and enable service access through collaborations and partnerships with community-based organisations, government, police, legal and support services that have already established support systems and resources for survivors of online harassment and abuse. About This Assignment Within this backdrop, as part of the content strategy, Girl Effect is looking to produce a fiction audio anthology series that, under its Ctrl + Shift + Respect initiative, uses powerful, emotionally resonant storytelling to spotlight the realities of TFGBV while inspiring change among young audiences. The series will feature five girl protagonists who reclaim their voices, assert their spaces, and refuse to shrink in the face of online abuse, while also engaging boys in rethinking harmful norms by showing that real influence and rizz comes from respect. Designed as both entertainment and social intervention, the anthology aims to build awareness of everyday forms of TFGBV, strengthen girls knowledge and confidence to stand up against online harassment, and promote solidarity by showing they are not alone. At the same time, it will encourage boys to recognize harassment as violence, not banter, and adopt respectful, allyship behaviours that contribute to safer, freer digital spaces for all. We are looking for a well-established production house specialising in multi-episodic, multi-character audio content to execute a powerful, emotionally resonant fictional audio anthology series featuring stories of 5 girl protagonists who reclaim their voice, own their spaces, and refuse to shrink against tech facilitated gender based violence. Our core idea is: when girls take back CTRL and boys understand that real rizz is RESPECT, digital spaces become safer and freer for everyone. Each 20-minute story will be broken down into 5 mini-episodes (4-5 minutes each), released weekly to create anticipation and engagement on our social media channels in a phased manner (Instagram, Facebook & YouTube). Please note: Though this is an audio-first format, we would require minimal visual elements to keep these pieces engaging and entertaining (such as animations, storyboarding, thumbnails, etc.) Separately, while this is the approach we have currently envisioned, the final duration and number of episodes will ultimately depend on the story being created, and this bifurcation may undergo change based on creative and contextual needs. Duration of each mini episode: 4-5 minutes Number of episodes: 5 mini episodes * 5 stories = 25 mini episodes Release Timeline: Starting on December 1st week, in a phased manner Language: Conversational Hinglish and English [The series will have two versions: one in conversational Hinglish (a blend of Hindi and English commonly used in everyday speech), and the other in standard conversational English. Both versions should maintain consistency in tone, narrative, and character portrayal.] Scope of Work We are looking for a production house to do end-to-end production for this series. The scope will include, but not be limited to: Working with Girl Effects internal team to understand the project b Tender Link : https://reliefweb.int/job/4179128/terms-reference-production-house-audio-anthology-series-october-2025-india
