Tenders are invited for Power System Strengthening and Renewable Energy Integration Project: Package 5A Augmentation of Kolonnawa Grid Substation for the Grid-Scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) of 100 MW / 100 MWh on a Turnkey Basis The Chairman - SHLPC on behalf of the Ceylon Electricity Board (the Employer), now invites sealed bids/proposals from eligible and qualified bidders for Augmentation of Kolonnawa Grid Substation for the Grid-Scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) of 100 MW / 100 MWh on a Turnkey Basis. Completion periods are Phase 1: 517 Days and Phase 2: 730 days respectively (from the Contract Effective Date). Open Competitive Bidding (OCB) will be conducted in accordance with ADBs Single- Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source coimtries as described in the Bidding Document. Only eligible Bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding: Bidders are required to have satisfactory participation as a contractor, Joint Venture partner, or Subcontractor, in at least two (02) contracts that have been satisfactorily and substantially completed within the last live (05) years and that are similar to the proposed contract, where the value of the Bidders participation under each contract exceeds US$ 4.5 million. The similarity of the Bidders participation shall be based on the physical size, nature of works, complexity, methods, technology, or other characteristics as described in Section 6 (Employers Requirements) of the bidding document. Bidder shall have a minimum average annual turnover of US S 9 million calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last three (03) years.
