Expression of Interest for Uzbekistan Public Transport Fleet Electrification and Private Sector Participation Roadmap Description: The World Bank, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is seeking consulting services to develop a comprehensive roadmap for the electrification of the public transport fleet and to strengthen private sector participation in urban public transport. The assignment will include a diagnostic review, an assessment of private sector involvement in bus operations, an economic evaluation of bus fleet electrification, as well as an analysis of business models and financing mechanisms. Based on these, a detailed reform roadmap will be prepared. The study will focus on Tashkent city and Tashkent region, with the aim of providing the government with a solid basis for decisions on business models and complementary measures for public transport.
