Tenders are invited for Space Environment Characterisation, Nowcast and Forecast This activity will continue to develop SWE Network capabilities in support of spacecraft operations and human spaceflight. It will build on developments and planning work taking place within the Space Radiation Expert Service Centre along with developments carried out within the P2-SWE-XIII Advanced SWE Service Prototypes, P3-SWE-XXXI Space Radiation Applications for Spacecraft Operators and in particular the P3-SWE-X and S1-SW-14.2 Space Environment Nowcast and Forecast development parts 1 and 2.The activity will develop both models and tools geared towards characterising the Earths trapped radiation environment and resulting effects, targeting theneeds of both spacecraft operators and human spaceflight. Products and tools available to support rapid post-event analysis, nowcast and forecast of the space environment shall continue to be developed and validated. The range of indices available for spacecraft operators shall be extended, taking into account direct feedback from end users, and additional focus shall be placed on uncertaintydescription such that all products can be provided along with realistic confidence levels.
