Tenders are invited for Audiovisual/Short Film Producer (Consultancy) - Coxs Bazar Closing Date: 25 Sep 2025 Type: Consultancy About LAW Founded in July 2013, Legal Action Worldwide (LAW) is an international non-profit organization headquartered in Geneva. LAW takes a survivor-centered, gender-sensitive approach to legal strategies that improve access to justice and provide redress to the most vulnerable in conflict-affected and fragile regions. LAWs ground-breaking Rohingya Crisis Programme ensures meaningful Rohingya participation in international justice processes relating to the crimes committed in Myanmar. This includes proceedings before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the International Criminal Court (ICC), and other accountability mechanisms. In Coxs Bazar, LAW works with networks of volunteers, Survivor Advocates, and Shanti Mohila (Peace Women), who are at the forefront of the fight for justice for atrocities faced by their communities in Myanmar. Overview of the Consultancy LAW is seeking a dynamic audiovisual/short film producer to create survivor-centered digital films and related content highlighting the journey of Rohingya survivors seeking justice and accountability. The material for the film will be captured from LAWs field centre in Kutupalong, the nearby Coxs Bazar area, and relevant international courts or mechanisms where Rohingya survivors may participate. The consultant will deliver two short films (approx. 5-7 minutes each) and a combined long-form film (approx. 10-15 minutes), documenting the survivors experiences and participation in international justice mechanisms. Deliverables & Timeline The consultant is expected to deliver the following outputs according to the agreed schedule: Video 1 From Atrocities to Survival Script, storyboard, and narrative showing the Rohingya peoples journey since 2017 and their fight for justice. Filming in Coxs Bazar (approx. 5 days, in second half of October 2025), including survivor interviews, LAW staff, surrounding environment captures and contextual b-rolls. Use of archives footage to show displacements and unfolding situation in 2017. Full editing of the video in line with LAW guidance and validations. Post-production: colour grading, subtitles, sound mixing, and up to 2 rounds of revisions. Delivery: First edit: 20 November 2025 Final cut (57 minutes): 30 November 2025 Video 2 Facing Justice Script, storyboard, and narrative capturing survivors participation in international justice mechanisms If the consultant is able to travel to relevant justice mechanisms, footage of interviews with survivors, LAW staff, legal experts, activists and b-rolls about the events on the ground will be required to be collected. However, LAW could also provide this through internal channels - needs in terms of visuals will be discussed with the consultant depending on the requirements of the production. Full editing of the video in line with LAW guidance and validations. Post-production: colour grading, subtitles, sound mixing, and up to 2 rounds of revisions. Delivery: First edit: 30 January 2026 Final cut (57 minutes): 13 March 2026 Combined Long-Form Film (1012 minutes) Integration of Videos 1 and 2 into one long-form version, with smooth transitions. Delivery by end of March 2026 Additional Outputs Short social media cuts may be requested. All rushes and raw footage to be handed over to LAW. Terms LAW retains full copyright and ownership of all creative products. The consultant must ensure strict confidentiality and responsible handling of all sensitive information. Location: Home-based with required travel to Coxs Bazar Required Qualifications Proven experience in filmmaking and video production, including scripting and editing. Strong track record of producing human-impact stories in humanitarian or human rights contexts. Knowledge and experience working on the Rohingya Crisis a strong asset. Demonstrated ability to translate complex justice issues into engaging, accessible visual narratives. Technical capacity for high-quality production (sound, editing, subtitles, colour grading). Experience working with UN agencies and/or NGOs representing victims and survivors of grave human rights violations.
