Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy for Sudan Education Resilience Study: Qualitative Data Collection Local Support The World Bank, through the Sudan Transition and Recovery Support Trust Fund (STARS TF), is developing a Strategic Framework for Building a Resilient Education in Sudan that will help to enhance Sudans education systems ability to withstand and adapt to disruptions such as the COVID-19 pandemic, floods, and armed conflicts. To inform the development of this strategic framework, the World Bank seeks to engage an organization to assist with qualitative data collection. This effort will focus on how communities have previously responded to disruptions in education service delivery. The goal is to identify local coping mechanisms and resilience strategies that can inform the strategic framework. Objective: The main objective of this assignment is to support the World Bank team in collecting qualitative data that captures local educational resilience practices across Sudan. Particularly, this involves documenting local knowledge and gathering insights at the community level on existing coping mechanisms and community-developed strategies that have been used to maintain learning during periods of crisis and instability, as well as collecting suggestions for improving education resilience. This qualitative data will inform the development of a resilience framework for education in Sudan, ensuring it reflects locally relevant solutions.
