    Procurement Plan for Study and Preliminary Design of the Deep Tunnel System in the State of Kuwait Number: (A/H S/169) Detailed Objectives: The project aims to protect the environment and prevent any flows into the Kuwait Bay area through an integrated system for connecting all plant emergency pipelines and storm drains to the tunnels, and to eliminate environmental problems resulting from the discharge of sewage into the sea during emergencies, which leads to environmental pollution and affects marine life. It also aims to reduce future floods during emergencies, and protect residential communities and road users from the risk of floods during the rainy season. Scope of Work: Study and design of the deep tunnels in the State of Kuwait, which includes closing the current sewage connections with storm drains and diverting water during emergencies from pumping and treatment plants to a treatment plant to be established for this purpose. It also includes how to utilize the resulting treated water.
