Tenders are invited for Supply of Farm Inputs in Bulla Bartire, Qamqam, Stanbul, Hajiweyne and Gobwey Villages of Kismayo District Jubaland State of Somalia The project runs from 15.03.2025 to 30.09.2026 and targets 700 farmers, including women, youth, IDPs, and persons with disabilities. It delivers five work packages: farmer training, provision of tractors and equipment, solar-powered irrigation, post-harvest solutions, and institutional capacity building for the Jubaland Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (JMoAI). Centre for Research and integrated Development (CeRID) is a non-governmental organization and an agent of change for peaceful and self-reliant communities founded in 2005. Our approach is grounded in the Theory of Change (ToC), enabling us to identify the desired outcomes and transformative changes that will strengthen CeRID in terms of institutional sustainability, strong partnership with both our target communities and our partners to tackle the root causes of poverty and vulnerability. Our Strategic Focus Are these five Areas (SFAs): (1) Climate Change Adaptation (2) Knowledge and Skill Development (3) Humanitarian, Development & Peace Nexus (HDPN) (4) Partnership & Collaboration (5) Organizational Capacity Development (OCD) 2.0 Project Objectives and Scope of Work 2.1 Project Objectives Centre for Research and Integrated Development (CeRID) are known to work on climate smart and resilient agriculture and often procure such goods and services to implement similar projects involve the provision of agricultural inputs. 2.1. Scope of work CeRID invites interested bidders with sound capacity and relevant experience in similar work to submit their quotations. The selected Supplier will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of the supplies. · Supply and Delivery: The supplier would be responsible for providing and delivering a comprehensive uncontaminated package of agricultural inputs, which commonly includes seeds and various farm tools as per specified in the excel BoQ provided. · Quality Assurance: The supplier must ensure that all agricultural inputs are of high quality, are not expired, and are delivered in a sealed and clean condition. · Logistics and Distribution: The supplier would need to transport and deliver the inputs to the designated project sites or directly to the beneficiary households in the specified villages, which are Bulla Bartire, Qamqam, Hajiweyne, Stanbul and Gobweyn. · Technical Compliance: Suppliers would be expected to comply with specific technical requirements of the project, which may include the types of seeds suitable for the local climate, as well as providing farm tools that are appropriate for the required manual labor. · Training Component: In some cases, the tender may also include a requirement to provide training or technical support to farmers on the proper use of the inputs and the adoption of climate-resilient farming techniques.
