Purpose of the advertisement The Young Leadership Development Foundation (YLDF), in partnership with ZOA and with the support of the European Union, is pleased to announce the opening of applications for civil society organizations (CSOs) and youth initiatives (YIs) residing in Aden and Taiz governorates to participate in a comprehensive capacity building and economic empowerment program. Program objectives · Capacity Building: Strengthening the technical and administrative capacities of both existing and new civil society organizations to develop and implement vocational skills training programs, support business development, and advocacy initiatives that target the economic empowerment of women and youth and the protection of their rights. · Support initiatives to enhance organizations access to funding through structured training in project development, proposal writing, fund management, and advocacy. · Providing direct financial support through grants to implement training projects or advocacy plans developed by participating organizations. · Promote the principles of encouraging inclusive participation by supporting gender balance and giving priority to marginalized groups such as people with disabilities and the disadvantaged (marginalized) community. · Building strong collaborative networks between civil society organizations, youth initiatives, the Yemeni Womens Union, and key stakeholders to enhance the impact of empowerment in local communities. · Supporting advocacy for human rights and economic inclusion of women and youth through capacity building and tailored strategic action plans. Selection Methodology and Process Overview Submitting applications · Applications will be accepted via an electronic form and supporting documents will be provided according to the admission requirements in the registration form attached to this announcement. Pre-selection and screening · A selection committee will review the applications. · 200 civil society organizations and youth initiatives (125 existing and 75 new) will be selected for the next phase. Capability assessment · An external consultant will develop and use a customized assessment tool to measure the institutional capabilities of each selected organization. Submitting proposals and granting funding · After the training, participants will submit project proposals or advocacy plans using standardized templates provided during the training. · An evaluation committee will review the proposals. · Support will be provided to approximately 118 existing organizations and 68 new organizations. · The grants will support vocational training and advocacy activities focused on the economic empowerment of women and youth and the protection of their rights.
