Tenders are invited for High-Performance Servers and Storage Solutions (Vaccine Development). Deadline: October 8, 2025 Intended performance: The infrastructure of the Information Technology (IT) department of the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) is critical to supporting vaccine research, development, testing, and production. It manages epidemiological surveillance data used in vaccine development and disease prioritization, as well as clinical data for vaccine testing in South Africa. The SAMRC has several data centers and needs to expand its existing high-performance computing (HPC) environment. The HPC expansion is intended to significantly increase computing capacity to process large genomic datasets more quickly and efficiently. The increased data storage will be used to manage the large amounts of data generated by the genome sequencing laboratories. This tender is for the procurement, supply, and deployment of high-performance servers and high-capacity storage solutions capable of storing and processing large datasets (Big Data) for the SAMRC.
