Bids Are Invited For Construction - Outfall 5 Oil And Grit Separator And Meadowview Lane Utility Upgrades

This Request For Proposals (The “Rfp”) Is Aninvitation By The City Of St. Albert(The “City”) To Prospective Proponents To Submit Proposals For The Construction - Outfall 5 Oil And Grit Separator And Meadowview Lane Utility Upgrades Project,As Further Described In Section A Of The Rfp Particulars (Appendix B) (The “Deliverables”). The Work, To Be Undertaken Is Generally Described As, But Not Limited To, The Following:Outfall 5 Oil And Grit Separators: Supply And Install Two (2) Oil And Grit Separators Connected To The Existing Storm Sewers (750 Mm And 900 Mm Pipes) That Lead To Outfall 5. Includes Removal Of Segments Of 6 Siphon Pipes (2 Abandoned And 4 Active) In Conflict With The Ogs Excavation Limits. Meadowview Lane Utility Upgrades: Replace Existing 250-Mm Water Main Along Meadowview Lane North Of Meadowview Drive, Including A New Trenchless Cn Rail Crossing With Steel Casing.Please Note The City Is Anticipating Receipt Of The Cn Rail Crossing Agreement; This Portion Of The Work Depends On Obtaining The Agreement, And The Work May Be Delayed Or Deleted If The Agreement Is Not Received.Supply And Install A New Sanitary Sewer.Abandon Existing Sanitary Forcemains.Remove, Replace, And Relocate One (1) Fire Hydrant.Siphon Abandonment:Abandon Four (4) Inverted Siphon Pipes (150 Mm, 200 Mm, 250 Mm, And 300 Mm) Under And Adjacent To The Sturgeon River. Note: All Siphon Pipes Are In Conflict With The Proposed Oil And Grit Separators Noted Above, So They Must Be Abandoned Before Ogs Construction.Abandon 450 Mm Sanitary Sewer Along Meadowview Lane Leads To The Four River Crossing Inverted Siphon Pipes.Abandon Existing Manholes And Chambers On All Sewers To Be Abandoned.
