Tenders are invited for Supplying to VSF-Belgium 25 Motorcycles Designed to Handle Low-Altitude Rural Zone in Rwanda. VSF-Belgium is an International NGO based in Belgium whose vision is Healthy Animal, Healthy Human while its mission is to strengthen the capacities of disadvantaged, livestock dependent communities to improve their well-being. Created in 1985, VSF-Belgium currently work in 11 African Countries and has been working in Rwanda since the year 2001 in different facets of community mobilization and development, through implementation of various projects/programmes ranging from education, different aspects of animal health & improved animal management, agriculture, food security & livelihood, income generation & access to finance, green energy and different aspects of integrated environmental & natural resources management; across the country (for more information visit www.vsf-belgium.org ). Since December 2024, VSF-Belgium is implementing a multi-actors project called PRISM phase 2 (Partnership for Resilience and Inclusive for Small Stock Market) under its action titled: Support to Local Proximity Private Veterinary Services Delivery in Rwanda with the specific objective of to strengthen the availability of sustainable and quality proximity veterinary services in all districts of Rwanda, while increasing availability of Artificial Insemination and supporting the implementation of the new Veterinary Sanitary Mandate (VSM). The project is led by Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) under supervision of MINAGRI. Currently, VSF-Belgium implements the project in partnership with Rwanda Council of Veterinary Doctors (RCVD). As part of the implementation of the PRISM II project - Strengthening Veterinary Services, Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Belgium (VSF-Belgium) is looking for company(ies) to supply 25 field motorcycles to be used by private veterinary practitioners controlled and supervised by RCVD. These motorcycles must be designed to handle low-altitude zones and challenging, muddy terrain, with high durability, traction, and adaptability especially adapted to eastern zone and not oriented to taxi-motorcyclists but to private veterinary practitioners serving farmers in remote rural areas.
