We are seeking an experienced consultant to lead a qualitative, participatory research project that explores the drivers of child early and forced marriage (CEFMs) among adolescent girls in Nepal, Bangladesh, and potentially one country from the Pacific. The successful candidate will work closely with our team at Plan International Australia and Country Offices in Nepal and Bangladesh. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement a participatory, multi-country qualitative research study to explore cross-country commonalities and context-specific drivers of CEFM in climate-affected, marginalised settings Develop and propose a purposive sampling strategy that ensures meaningful inclusion of adolescent girls, particularly those experiencing overlapping and compounding vulnerabilities Conduct fieldwork and gather data through focus group discussions, key informant interviews, life history interviews, and creative and participatory tools Analyze and draft research reports, including policy briefs and recommendations for addressing CEFM in climate-affected and marginalised settings Requirements: Proven expertise in qualitative, participatory research with adolescents, particularly in gender equality, climate resilience, and/or child marriage contexts Experience in multi-country studies, ideally in South Asia, with a strong understanding of the regions cultural nuances Excellent communication and project management skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with Country Offices Duration: The research project is expected to be completed within 5-6 months.
