    General Procurement Notice for Procurement of Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services for Support to the Air Transport Sector in Suriname Program The Government from the Republic of Suriname has received financing in the amount of US $25,000,000.00 from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and intends to utilize the funds for eligible payments related to the procurement of goods, works, non-consulting and consulting services under the Support to the Air Transport Sector in Suriname program. The programs general objective is to contribute to a safe and connected air transport sector for Suriname. The specific objectives are to: (i) improve compliance with civil aviation safety and security standards; and (ii) improve quality and resilience of air transport sector infrastructure. To achieve its objectives, the Program comprises the following components: Component 1: Improvements in the institutional and legal framework Restructure Surinames civil aviation system and strengthen institutional capacity Strengthening of CASAS regulatory capacity Strengthening sustainability policies and decarbonization Communication management and stakeholder outreach Gender and diversity actions Component 2: Improvements in the air transport control and operations Enhancement of air navigation capacity and efficiency Establishment of an independent air Accident Investigation Authority (AIA) Definition of a new international standard-based fee structure and collection mechanism Improvements in air navigation surveillance Component 3: Enhancement and maintenance of Surinames air transport infrastructure PBM international airport interventions SMZO domestic hub improvements Pilot for all-weather aerodrome modernization [Disclaimer: The above text is machine translated.
