    Tenders are invited for Opportunities for New Domestic Entrepreneurs in the Fisheries Industry Invitation to Sri Lankan investors and domestic companies i. The Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources has decided to issue a limited number of Fishing Operation Licenses for Tuna Longline Vessels (Metal-hulled Long liners) exceeding 24 meters in length, equipped with modern technical facilities manufactured either locally or abroad. for the purpose of harvesting export-oriented, high-quality tuna species (Yellowfin / Bigeye) from international waters and transporting them to land in frozen / super frozen form. ii. It has also been decided to issue a limited number of Operation Licenses for Collecting Vessels (Metal-hulled Collecting Vessels) exceeding 24 meters in length, equipped with modern technical facilities manufactured either locally or abroad, with the capacity to collect Liima fish (Mackerel) caught by multi-day fishing vessels within Sri Lankan waters and transport them to land. Interested parties are hereby invited to submit a Project Proposal Report containing the relevant details to Secretary, Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic Resources and Marine Resources, Maligawatta, Colombo 10 on or before 31.10.2025, either by post or by hand.
