General Procurement Notice for Acquisition of the Services of Consultants for Supporting Women Economic Empowerment in Namibia Project The project includes the following components: (a) DBN Internal Capacity Development - Diagnostic Assessment: The consulting firm will undertake a desk top assessment of DBNs current SME lending strategy and product offerings including its newly developed WSME lending products. This will encompass an evaluation of the adequacy of DBNs credit origination, underwriting and structuring capabilities, as well as the relevance of their gender focused projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with market needs. Additionally, the consultant will analyze clients transactional data to identify behavioral and portfolio trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to enhance the quality of WSME engagement. (b) Non-Financial Services to WSME - Developing Knowledge Products: This will include knowledge work and market research in key sectors and relevant updates on policies, regulatory environment on the WSME market. Areas of interest include green industrialization, green hydrogen, marine engineering and water efficiency. This process will require also include a gender mapping exercise to identify the sectoral value chains in which women are more participatory and/ or provide business opportunities for WSME growth.
