Asphalt Works - South Pender Harbour Watermain . This Rfp Applies To And Governs The Preparation Of Proposals For The Contract Listed Above. The Contract Is Generally For The Following Work: As Part Of The Owner’S Annual Water Main Replacement Program, The Owner Requires Roadway Asphalt Cold Milling Followed By The Placement Of Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete Paving Services To Rehabilitate And Reinstate Asphalt Roadways In South Pender Harbour, Bc. The Project Consists Of Asphalt Paving Restoration Over Waterline Trenching Related To Utility Works. The Work Area Extends Along Francis Peninsula Road From The Intersection At Pope Road South To The Intersection With Beaver Road, A Total Of Approximately 300 Linear M. This Includes All Intersections And Driveways Within The Stated Limits. Grade And Prepare Owner Installed Compacted Road Base For Paving (The Owner Will Have Graded And Compacted The Road For Traffic Post Watermain Install). A 50 Mm Depth Roadway Asphalt Cold Milling Followed By The Placement Of A 50 Mm Compacted Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete Pavement For The Full Lane Width Of All Crossings/Intersections Where Watermains Work Was Completed. All Driveways Along The Route Are To Be Merged Smoothly Into The New Surface In Accordance With The Owner Supplemental Specifications And Ministry Of Transportation And Transit (Mott) Directives. Slight Changes In The Work Area May Occur During Construction. Maintain Positive Surface Water Drainage Flow So That There Are No Bird Baths Or Other Impediments To Surface Water Runoff On The Completed Restored Pavement Surfaces. The Proposed Work Consists Of Necessary Asphalt Remove And Replacement And Preparation For The Supply And Laying Of Class 1, Maximum 19 Mm Aggregate Asphalt Concrete, In Single And Two Lifts As Noted Above, As Per Ministry Of Transportation And Transit (Mott) Standards Set Out In Section 502 And 952 Of The Standard Specifications For Highway Construction, And Mmcd Standards And The Owner’S Supplemental Specifications, Most Current Version. The Contractor Is Also Responsible For Maintenance For A Defects Liability Period Of One (1) Year.
