The Purpose Of These Measurements Is To Monitor Trends Of The Potential Level And Must Be Done Annually. There Are Voltage Measurements That Are Performed On Underground Metal Pipes (Such As Gas Pipes) To Control The Effectiveness Of Cathodic Protection (Kb). These Measurements Provide Insight Into The Potential Level Of The Pipeline In Relation To A Reference Electrode, Without Electricity Flowing Between The Electrode And The Management-Hence The Term On-Potential. The Aim Is To Verify Whether The Potential Is Sufficiently Negative To Prevent The Management Of The Management.
