Diversion Upgrade: Improve Existing Method Of Diverting Water From Arrow Creek To Settling Ponds. 2. Intake Control: Automate Two Existing Manually Operated Sluice Gates That Control Flow Into The Upper Settling Pond To Prevent Overflow And Improve Water Use Efficiency. 3. Settling Pond: Add An Inlet Energy Dissipater And Replace Existing, Non-Effective Baffles To Increase Settling Capability. 4. Interconnecting Piping: Reconfigure The Existing Piping Between Settling Ponds And Construct A Bypass Chamber With An Additional 0.5 Mm Vertical Screen To Allow Isolation Of Either Pond And Ensure All Water Entering The Wtp Is Screened, Even When One Pond Is Offline. 5. Raw Water Strainer: Replace The Existing 0.5 Mm Wedge-Wire Johnson Screen With A 500-Micron Non-Wedge-Wire Strainer That Meets Uf Membrane Requirements And Incorporate A Heated Air Compressor Or Backwash System (Requiring Booster Pumps) To Mitigate Frazzle-Ice Impacts.
