Work Detail
Networks-Renewal Redundant Internal Firewall System. In Order To Adapt The Security In The Internal Network Of The Freiburg University Hospital To The State Of The Art, It Is Necessary To Classify Internal Networks In Security Stages And To Separate From Each Other Based On Their Criticism And Susceptibility. Between Selected Network Areas, An Internal Highly Available Firewall System Limits Network Traffic To The Necessary Level. As Part Of The Renewal Of The Data Center Network On Software Defined Networking With Cisco Aci, The Internal Firewall Cluster Must Also Be Renewed. At The Same Time, The Internal Firewall Cluster Should Become The Gateway Into The Data Center Network And Control The Entire North-South Traffic (Approx. 1300 Servers And 15,000 Jobs). In Selected Cases, The East-West Traffic Up To Layer-7 Between Server Systems Via The Firewall Should Also Be Controlled. Furthermore, Certain Cross-Clinic Layer 2 Networks Are Segmented Behind The Internal Firewall Cluster (Medical Devices, Printer, Iot, Ot, Telematics). A Total Of Around 55,000 Network -Compatible Systems Are Currently Recognized, Which Will Potentially Communicate Via The Firewall Cluster.
