The Calgary Court Of Appeal (Coa) New Judicial Centre Project Is A Major Infrastructure And Digital Modernization Initiative Led By Alberta Infrastructure. The Project Involves Constructing A New Judicial Facility That Will Incorporate And Connect To The Historic Court Of Appeal Building In Downtown Calgary. This Facility Will Be Purpose-Built To Support 21St-Century Justice Operations Through The Integration Of Architectural, Audio Visual (Av), And Information Technology (It) Systems. As Part Of This Integration, The Facility Must Align With Court Technology Services (Cts)’S Standardized Av Environment, Which Is Built Primarily On Crestron-Based Control And Video Switching Platforms. These Systems Are Custom Programmed To Meet Defined Functional Requirements And Support Secure, Interoperable Av Capabilities Across A Wide Range Of Courtroom And Support Spaces. The Courtroom Systems Are Currently Being Transitioned To Av Over Ip Technology And Industry-Standard Audio Dsps. All Av Infrastructure Must Comply With The Government Of Alberta Standards For Reliability, Maintainability, And Operational Scheduling. To Support This Complex Technical Environment, The Government Of Alberta—Through Cts—Is Procuring A Specialized Av/It Consultant To Provide Full Lifecycle Services For The Av/It Systems In The Facility. The Scope Includes System Design And Architecture During Planning And Design Phases, And Extends Through Project Management, Procurement Support, Commissioning Oversight, And Post-Construction Closeout.
