These interventions restore degraded landscapes, conserve biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, and improve rural livelihoods while supporting Namibias obligations under the Bonn Challenge. MEFT. with the support of the GIZ-funded Support to the Implementation of the NBSAP" project, seeks the services of a suitably qualified consultant to develop a National Afforestation and Reforestation Strategy. This strategy will provide a guiding framework to coordinate, scale, and monitor tree planting and restoration activities nationwide. It will integrate ecosystem-based adaptation, sustainable land management, and community-driven models to ensure the effective achievement of Namibias forest restoration targets.
