Tenders are invited for Animation Video Production Background The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering (RDFL) is a feminist, secular, non-governmental organization advocating for and raising awareness about the rights of women and girls in Lebanon. Founded in 1976, the RDFL is one of the oldest feminist organizations, one based on volunteerism. RDFLs vision is to achieve equality between women and men in all spheres and to provide protection from gender-based violence. RDFLs mission is to work on and advocate for the elimination of gender-based violence and all forms of discrimination, and to achieve full citizenship for women through a widespread and empowered membership and in collaboration with civil society. The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering (RDFL) is implementing Her Story, Our Fight: Standing with Women and Girls in Lebanon to End GBV, a multi-pillar initiative that combines protection services, economic empowerment, and community advocacy. One of the core components under the Protection pillar is to deliver community-led awareness sessions on survivors legal rights and reporting avenues. To maximize reach and engagement, RDFL seeks a video animation consultant/agency to produce a short, culturally sensitive animated film (35 minutes) in Arabic (with English subtitles) that outlines: Objective of the Assignment To produce a high-quality, culturally sensitive animated video that clearly explains the Lebanese legal framework protecting women and girls affected by GBV, employs survivor-centered language and visuals to foster trust and empowerment, and can be seamlessly integrated into both live awareness sessions and digital platforms. Key Responsibilities. 3.1. Storyboarding & Style Frames Develop a visual storyboard aligning each scene with the approved script. Propose an inclusive illustration style that represents diverse ages, abilities, and nationalities (Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian). 3.3. Animation Production Produce 2D motion-graphics or character-driven animation sequences based on the storyboard. Ensure all imagery is culturally appropriate, gender-sensitive, and reinforces survivor dignity. 3.4. Voice-Over & Sound Design Cast and record a native Arabic voice-over artist with an empathetic, clear tone. Select and integrate background music that supports the narrative without overpowering it. Embed accurate English subtitles for all spoken content. 3.5. Revisions & Finalization Facilitate up to two rounds of revisions incorporating feedback from RDFL. Deliver the final animation in multiple formats (MP4 HD for presentations; compressed MP4 for online sharing). Consultant/Agency Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in 2D animation or motion graphics, with a portfolio of at least three explainer videos Demonstrated ability to translate complex legal or technical information into clear, engaging visual narratives Proven track record of working on gender-sensitive or humanitarian communications in the Middle East Fluency in Arabic (native level) and strong command of English for subtitling Familiarity with Lebanese legal context on GBV is a strong advantage Commitment to trauma-informed and survivor-centered communication principles.
