Tenders are invited for Supply of Argonaut PCDU OHB System AG, a subsidiary of the European space and technology group OHB SE, is acting as subcontractor to Thales Alenia Space (TAS-I) who has been contracted by the European Space Agency (ESA) as prime Contractor for the realization of the ARGONAUT Lunar Descent Element (LDE). Under its subcontract, OHB is responsible for the EPS, TT&C and GNC subsystems up to flight readiness. The objective of the present procurement is the selection of the subcontractor for the Argonaut Power Conditioning and Distribution Unit. As part of the Argonaut LDE system the PCDU will be responsible for distributing power to the loads and to the passenger as well as managing the battery and solar array. The PCDU will provide a regulated 28V Bus and regulate the solar arrays via MPPT. The PCDU shall also provide activation lines for HDRM and an interface to connect to the on-board computer via milbus to report TMs and accept TCs. The procurement of the PCDU will be conducted in line with the ESA Best Practices for the Selection of Subcontractors by Prime Contractors in the frame of ESAs Major Procurements (reference ESA BEST PRACTICES IPC(2012)65, rev.2).
