Candlelight, Acted, And Whh Are Working Together To Implement The Breach Project Funded By The European Union In The Burao District, Somaliland Over A Duration Of 30 Months. The Primary Goal Of This Project Is To Help Vulnerable Communities In Burao Improve Their Resilience To Climate Change, And Increase Their Food, Fodder, And Water Security. The Project Aims To Enhance The Capacities For These Communities To Implement Dryland-Specific Reforestation, Afforestation, And Sustainable Rangeland And Agricultural Land Management Practices. Additionally, It Seeks To Promote Climate-Smart Agro- Pastoral And Pastoral Production And Water Supply Practices. Candlelight Aims To Empower Vulnerable Youth And Women By Providing Technical And Vocational Education And Training (Tvet) And Business Skills To Enhance Their Socio-Economic Opportunities. The Overall Goal Is To Train 150 Participants In Market-Demand Skills, Delivered In Two Cohorts, 78 Participants Successfully Completed Their Training. This Tor Outlines The Enrollment Of 72 Trainees For Second Batch Who Will Be Trained Across Three Specific Skill Areas. The Training Will Prioritize Youth And Women From Urban And Peri-Urban Communities. Upon Successful Completion Of The 5-Month Course, All Trainees Will Be Placed On One-Month Internships Or Apprenticeships With Relevant Businesses Or Employers To Gain Hands-On Experience And Strengthen Their Employability.
