Bids Are Invited For Cumulative Effects For Nooksack Dace/Salish Sucker Modelling Tool

This Work Is Part Of An Ongoing Collaboration With The University Of British Columbia And Fisheries And Oceans Canada (Dfo) In Recovery Of Nooksack Dace And Salish Sucker. The Intent Of The Work Is To Generate Predictions Of Future Landuse And Landcover Change In Salish Sucker And Nooksack Dace Critical Habitat Under Current (Business As Usual) Development And Climate Change Scenarios, For The Purpose Of Modelling And Evaluating Future Trajectories Of Salish Sucker And Nooksack Dace Habitat And Populations Under Current And Alternative Management Scenarios. The Supplier Will Source And Validate Historic Landcover Change Data Layers For Nooksack Dace And Salish Sucker Streams (Critical Habitat), Validate The Landcover Classification, And Ensure Compatibility With Dfo Geospatial Data Bases Of Covariates Used For Habitat Modelling. Historic Landcover Data Will Then Be Analyzed To Generate Future Projections Of Landuse Change Based On Historic Trajectories Of Land Cover. The Supplier Will Also Develop A Modelling Tool That Allows The User To Modify Rates Of Land Cover Change In Selected Scenarios To Assess The Potential Outcomes Of Different Management Practices.
