Tenders are invited for Argonaut LDE - Pressurant Tanks. Open Date: 08/08/2025 13:07 CET Closing Date: 19/09/2025 13:00 CET Price Range: 500 KEURO The Argonaut mission is the European contribution to the International human exploration of the Moon. The general objectives of the mission fit into the Global Exploration Roadmap (GER) in tandem with the US human exploration lead by the Artemis Program. The purpose of the Argonaut mission is to support human and robotic exploration by providing a multipurpose lander, the LDE, capable of delivering different types of payload by means of a mission specific interface element, nominally the Cargo Platform Element. The Argonaut Space System consists of the following elements: Lunar Descent Element (LDE): o A recurring lander, common to all Argonaut missions. o Designed to be compatible with different delivery missions without undergoing modifications; o The LDE provides the functions of Payload transport to the Moons surface as well as the main mission functions common to all the different missions. Cargo Platform Element (CPE): o The mission-specific element that provides a standard interface between the modular LDE and different Payloads. o This element is intended to accomplish the functions proper to specific missions allowing for a better design of both the LDE and CPE. Payload: o It is intended to be a Cargo Delivery mission. These three elements are the constituents of the Robotic Landing Stack (RLS), which is the generic name for the Argonaut composite. Thales Alenia Space UK as a core team member, and Thales Alenia Space Italy, prime contractor for the programme, have been Contracted by the European Space Agency (ESA) for the realization of the Argonaut spacecraft. Under a subcontract, Thales Alenia Space UK is responsible for the Bi-Propellant Propulsion system (BPS), the chemical propulsion system for the LDE. Equipment to be Procured: The objective of the present procurement is the selection of the subcontractor for the Pressurant Tanks to store the pressurized gas mass in the subsystem, to be used in regulated mode to ensure the propellants are kept at constant pressure throughout the mission. The procurement of the pressurant tanks will be conducted in line with ESA best practices for the selection of subcontractors by Prime Contractors in the frame of ESAs major procurements [ref: ESA Best Practices IPC (2012)65 rev 02]. Notwithstanding the complete list of countries identified in the Special Provision for visibility purposes, the ITT letter of invitation will contain a dedicated set of geographical return requirements/targets to be considered Tender Link : https://esastar-publication-ext.sso.esa.int/nonEsaTenderActions/filter/open
