Government of Rajasthan inaugurated a 100 MW solar power plant which will cater to the electricity requirement of 30 villages at Nandia Kalan village near Jodhpur. Set up by Azure Power, this is the largest solar power plant in the state under ‘Make in India’ mission. The state will be a surplus power state to the extent of 6,000 MW, the state government has signed MoUs for 34,000 MW solar power generations and soon it is going to set up a solar grid to harness this potential.
