Andhra Pradesh on the global map as an emerging education and knowledge hub, India's renowned research-based university Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University) has come forward to set up its Medical University in Amaravati. Amrita University, which currently operates 5 campuses in South India will soon set up a mega university in the state.
Alongside the Rs 2,500 crore medical university, a multi-speciality hospital with 2,250 bedding capacity will also be constructed. A Research- Healthcare campus center, affiliated with the medical university will also be set up.
