Telangana University Registrar R. Limbadri laid the foundation for the bio-gas generation plant on campus on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Registrar said that this was the first project (kitchen waste biogas plant) in the district. As much as 70 kg of bio-waste is generated in the hostels every day and with that if biogas is to be produced it would be enough for three hour cooking. Besides, electricity required for lighting in the campus could also be acquired through the plant,
