| 1 | General Notes:1) Item no. 1 to 5 shall be carried out by specialised agency having experience in chemical resistant tiling works and the same shall be gotten approved by EIC before execution. The decision of EIC will be binding and non-arbitrable.2) Item no. 6 to 9 shall be carried out by specialised agency having experience in PU/epoxy/special flooring works and the same shall be gotten approved by EIC before execution. The decision of EIC will be binding and non-arbitrable.3) The contractor shall follow relevant IS codes/technical specifications for execution of work.4) The contractor shall maintain good workman ship and follow safe working procedures during the work.5) Rates shall be inclusive of Scaffolding for all items for all heights and depths.6) Before laying of chemical resiatnt tiling, PU flooring etc as per item no. 1 to 9, the condition and suitability of substrate shall be checked for recieving the tiling/flooring and if required suitable test shall be conducted for the asessing the condition and strength of substrate at no extra cost and as directed by EIC.7) Contractor shall provide Distribution Board and 4C X16 sq.mm cable of required length at their own cost if required for obtaining temporary power supply from the department. The DB and power cable shall be as per the specifications of NFC. 8) Contractor shall fill the requisition form for providing temporary power supply and details of any equipment to be used at site (dewatering pump, cutting machine, drilling machines, etc) shall be indicated in the proforma annexed to requisition form.9) Contractor shall employ a licensed electrician to carryout electrical connections /terminations, measurement of earth pit resistance, insulation resistance of their installation and intimating the same to the department & also earthing shall be ensured throught existance of power supply. Intimation shall be given after completion of work for disconnection of supply and safe isolation of DB with last energy meter reading. |
| 2 | Providing corrosion resistant treatment to floors and wall by bitumen primer conforming to IS 158 with chemical resistant unpolished vitrified tiles of required thickness mentioned below confirming to IS:4457 (Endura of M/s.. H & R Johnson India limited) to resist corrosion action of nitric acid (HNO3) up to 60% concentration, caustic tlie 40% concentration, organic solvents (also to water in open areas which requires acid resistant polyester mortar), or any other chemical including preparing the surfaces, hacking and cleaning etc. complete as per specifications and as per IS 4457 : Latest Edition and as directed by engineer-in-charge to suit the above requirements and the thickness as mentioned below as per by manufacturer's recommendations, relevant standards and as directed by engineer-in-charge.Note: The work shall be carried out by specialised agency having experience in chemical resistant tiling works and the same shall be gotten approved by EIC before execution. The decision of EIC will be binding and non-arbitrable. |

| 10 | Providing corrosion resistant treatment to the floors, skirting and pedestals with acid resistant bricks of size 230x115x38 mm thick as per IS :4800 to resist corrosion action of caustic lie 40% concentration and organic solvents using epoxy bedding and pointing mortar as per IS4443 (latest revision) including preparing the surfaces, cleaning etc. complete as per specifications and as per latest version of IS:4800 and as directed by engineer-in-charge to suit the above requirements and the thickness as mentioned as per by manufacturer's recommendations, relevant standards and as directed by engineer-in-charge. |
| 11 | Providing and applying 12 mm thick readymade bitumem mastic confirming to is: 9510 with proper heating and mixing for protective coating on concrete floor at 20 kg/sq. over one coat of bitumen primer confirming to IS: 758 below acid resistant brick/tile lining including through washing and cleaning of concrete surfaces, air drying complete as per specifications and as directed by engineerin-charge. |
| 12 | Relaying the existing removed acid resistant tile/brick lining joints by 1. Carefully cleaning the tile from any residual mortar or pointing material2. Laying the tile with mentoned mortar (potassium silicate, epoxy, CNSL)3. Sealing the joint using carbon filled sulphur cement if requiredcomplete all as directed by engineer-in-charge.Note: Carefully removing of existing tiles will be paid in relevant seperate item.
