| 1 | Excavation in soil in hill area in all heights and depths in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of pick, jumper blasting work both in soft and hard rock with chiseling / wedging out side of rock (where blasting is prohibited) and their intermediate classification of soil including dewatering where required setting out to the required line grades, side slopes trimming bottom and level as shown on drawings as directed by the Engineer-in charge at site according to technical clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 sorting useful / un-useful materials and stacking the same in all leads and lifts and transportation of the un-useful materials for filling in roads ways, embankments for grades improvements and leveling to the require grade and then disposing of surplus excavated earth in acquired width of road or on approved dumping sites through all modes of transportation including head load animal load or mechanical means along with its leveling fine dressing and all labour, machineries, materials, tools equipment's and sefety measures and incidentals necessary to complete the work by all means ( if any required) recovery for 101.72 (One Hundred One point Seventy Two only) cubic metre @ Rs. 300.00 (three Hundred) per cubic metre amount Rs 30516.00/- (Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Sixteen only) shall be done on prorata basis for the quantity of cutting in earth work effected. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of execution shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all respect. If the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to stream floods seepage, rain and other causes it shall be removed by suitable diversion bailing out or pumping as directed and the area of the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry.
