Tender For Special Repairs To Roads At Otm And Cgra Tuticorin And Parade Ground Under Ge (I) Cg Chennai; 1 Material and labour for preparingblack top surfaces of road by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and asdirected . 2 Material and labour for applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen of viscocity VG 30 atthe rate of 4 Kg per 10 Sqm over black top surface complete all as specified and as directed. 3 Material and labour for laying and consolidating bituminous premix asphaltic semi-dense concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with minimum 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix by using paving bitumen (VG-30 Grade) any penetration mixed in hot mix plant, spread and laid by using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber, gradient and to uniform surface complete all as specified and as directed.Note: [a]Contractor shall use both 8 to 12 ton tandem vibratory roller & Pneumatic tyre roller (PTR) [b]The contractor will be required to get the job mix formula based on marshal method designed fromIndian Institute of Technology, Madras or from any NIT/Government Engineering colleges/any other Govt. /NABL accredited laboratory approved by the GE. The cost on account of job mix design and testing of bitumen and road materials shall be borne by the contractor[c]The binder content mentioned above is minimum/ tentative and shall be provided as per actual job mix design.[d] The unit Rate quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of making good of any undulation/damages in wearing surfaces, where semi sense asphaltic concrete to be laid. 4 M&L for repairs to potholes of depth exceding 30mm and area not exc 1 Sqm each including sweeping free trom dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, but making good by applying tack coat @ 5 Kg per 10 sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sqm, blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) complete all as specified and directed.Note:- This item is applicable where no SDAC is to be provided. 5 M&L for providing premix bituminous macadam using paving bitumen grade VG-10 with bitumen content @ 4% by weight of total mix, mixed in hot mix plant, spread and laid by using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8-12 tonne power road roller and rolled to a uniform smooth surface (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in Charge 6 M&L for providing and marking broken/continuous central/ end line on the road pavement and the like of description by using hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.50mm thick (excluding thickness of glass beads) and providing reflective glass beads @ 250 gm per square metre as per IRC-135,confirming to MOSRT&H, complete all as specified and as directed. 7 S&F for Rubber speed breaker, (500*350*50)MM size yellow and black color, with refelctive arrow including fixed fixed with epoxy and all accessories on bituminous /concrete surfaces as per manufacturer’s instructions complete all as specified and as directed. 8 Supply and fix for Solar road stud having 3 LEDs of colours red/ yellow to a side (total 6 Nos) housed in a tough pressure die casted aluminum alloy housing of size 130x120mm of height 20 mm with built in stem-nail 30 mmx 50 mm long for fixing with epoxy. LEDs, solar cells, battery & light sensor well protected in side under tough unbreakable polvcarbonate transparent sheet roof. System workable for 2-3 days (nights) after full @ & 1600- each charge in 8-10 hours. 9 Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector, dynamically designed having high impact strength all as per Dark Eye model No. DA 972.0 or equivalent of other specified makes and fitted with MS stud of suitable size with epoxy as per manufactures instructions on bituminous /concrete surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. 10 M&L for providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and directed 11 M & L for 50 mm thick Plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in Sub bas, floors/pavings etc., complete all as specified and as directed. 12 M & L for preparaion concrete surfaces and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer on kerb stone complete all as secified and as directed. 13 Material and labour for plain cement concrete 1:3:6, type C1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate in copings,Edging/kerb kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded for chamfered angles and throating complete all as specified and as directed.
